Archos 32 is great media player. This gadget comes pre-installed with Android operating system. This is a great little tablet. The size and feel of it are quite good. The screen quality is pretty good (maybe not quite as crisp as some of the android smart phones now a days, but close). Even though the touchscreen is resistive it is almost just as responsive as a capacitive.
It shipped with android 2.1 however, it was very simply updated to 2.2 and the operating system runs quite smoothly 90% of the time (the other ten is only minor bogging down). At first it has only Appslib for apps, but i quickly discovered an app (arctools) that allows for the full google android marketplace. Apps install very quick and in the background. Alternate browsers such as skyfire work very well and quite fast. The default browser was not horrible but a little too slow for my taste.
My original intention for buying this model was to replace my current mp3 player. I would say it satisfactorily (would rate it a B) did the job. There are many music/audio book/podcast players in the market. And i would have to say that the longer i use it, the less i even consider getting a smart phone. Aside from the 3g connection, phone calls, texting and gps, this seems to have almost all the features of a smart phone.
So i would definatly recommend this product. As far as screen size i rate it highly for the price. If your willing to spend a little more the Archos 43 may be a little nicer. Also the camera is only ok. To me, no reason not to buy this though. And finally, YES you CAN play Angry Birds, and well at that!
